			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>In the United States obesity is reaching epidemic levels. More and more people are turning to weight loss pills in hopes of shedding those unsightly pounds.  With the New Year right around the corner, stores will have their shelves well stocked with weight loss pills in anticipation of the after holiday rush. But do weight loss pills really work?</p>
<p>Weight loss pills do work, but not to the degree most people think.  Back in the early 1990&#8242;s when ephedra was first introduced, it was touted as a miracle weight loss supplement and to some, including myself  it was.  When you combined ephedra with caffeine and aspirin, this &#8220;stack&#8221; burned fat like butter on a hot stove.<span id="more-100"></span></p>
<p>Unfortunately along with its fat burning power, there was a long list of side effects as well. Many could not handle the powerful stimulant affects of this compound and it was blamed for many deaths.  Whether or not this was true, the writing was on the wall and ephedra was banned in the United States and is no longer available.</p>
<p>Are there any compounds that work as well as ephedra?</p>
<p>Yes, but ephedra set the bar very high and there really isn&#8217;t anything new (save for possibly one) that matches its fat burning power.</p>
<p>Green tea and Hoodia are currently two of the most popular weight loss supplements in stores today.  There have been mixed reviews on both, but Green tea has more scientific studies to back its claims.  Never the less, they both fall far short of the fat burning power of ephedra.</p>
<p>There is however one promising compound that seems to block fructose from converting to adipose tissue.</p>
<p>Why the concern about fructose?</p>
<p>Fructose may be the reason why so many Americans are obese today.  The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition was quoted as saying:</p>
<p>&#8220;evidence that a marked increase in the use of HFCS, and therefore in total fructose consumption, preceded the obesity epidemic and may be an important contributor to this epidemic in the United States.&#8221;</p>
<p>Over the last thirty years, there has been a 40% drop in the use of cane sugar and a 300% increase in the use of high fructose corn syrups!  If you look at the label of most products on supermarket shelves today, you will likely find high fructose corn syrup as an ingredient.</p>
<p>What is this new natural substance?</p>
<p>This all natural compound is derived from the roots of Scutellaria baicalensis and Heartwood of Acacia.  There more common names are Chinese skullcap and &#8220;Black catechu&#8221;.</p>
<p>What does this compound do?</p>
<p>There are two obesity markers in the blood stream that this natural compound substantially decreases.  Chronically obese people have high levels of these two markers. These natural compounds inhibit fat conversion via fructose pathways by down-regulating fat accumulation and up-regulating fat breakdown, thereby decreasing these two obesity markers.</p>
<p>Subjects between the ages of 40 and 75 participated in an independent double blind scientific study conducted by scientists at JSS Medical Research, Inc., in Montreal, Canada.  None of the participants were given any advice on dieting or exercise and typically this age group has the most difficult time at losing weight.</p>
<p>The results of the study were eye opening.  Those that were not given the compound averaged zero pounds of weight loss, while those given the natural compound lost on average 7% of their body weight.</p>
<p>Their results would likely have been much better if they combined an exercise program along with a sensible diet.</p>
<p>These compounds show a lot of promise and may very well hold the key to the obesity epidemic, especially for those who consume a lot of fructose in their diets.  Always check with your physician before taking any weight loss supplement.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Many people need to lose some weight, that&#8217;s a fact. Look around where people gather, you&#8217;ll notice the fat. Look in the mirror, unfortunately you&#8217;ll likely see it there too. If you&#8217;ve made fast weight loss your goal, keep these simple things in mind to take off the pounds quickly and safely.</p>
<p>When people want to lose weight one of the most common things they do is to skip meals. Hey, if eating fewer calories is the goal then why not skip breakfast or lunch. Doesn&#8217;t weight loss come with eating less calories? That&#8217;s correct but skipping meals isn&#8217;t the right way to reduce calories. Your body thinks it&#8217;s being starved when you skip meals. It goes into &#8220;starvation&#8221; mode. It starts to retain fat to counteract what it perceives as a shortage of food. Another problem with skipping meals is that when you finally eat you&#8217;ll be a lot more hungry. The result is binge eating. Skipping a meal plus binge eating, then, will likely result in eating more calories and the body gaining even more weight from those calories than normally. It&#8217;s the worst of both worlds. Don&#8217;t skip meals.<span id="more-31"></span></p>
<p>Know how much to eat. Portion control is just as important as eating the right food. Too much of even a healthy food still results in weight gain. Portion control isn&#8217;t easy when large portions are so common. Restaurants serve over large portions, as do most people at home. The FDA and other sources list recommended daily allowances. And remember portion size when you eat at restaurants, especially fast food restaurants. Don&#8217;t eat the full portion served at the restaurant, or order less than a full meal, such as soup and a salad.</p>
<p>Eat more whole grain foods, skip the white grains such as white bread, sugar and white rice. Whole grains are lower in fat and higher in nutrients. The fiber in whole grains will make you feel fuller faster and longer. Also whole grains contain many nutrients that are often lacking in people&#8217;s diets.</p>
<p>Consume more water. Drink it instead of juices and sodas which add about 90,000 calories to the average person&#8217;s diet each year. Drink water between meals too. In fact, the goal is 8 glasses of water each day. It&#8217;s easily possible. Drinking water will also promote health in general by keeping you well hydrated and cool.</p>
<p>Eat healthy snacks between meals. The body needs food every three to four hours to maintain proper blood sugar. Eating healthy snacks, such as fruits, helps control eating at meal times.</p>
<p>Fast weight loss is realistic with some knowledge and planning. Keep these things in mind and pretty soon you&#8217;ll see a slimmer you when you look into a mirror.</p>

Modern technology has brought with it a faster pace of life and delicious fast food that&#8217;s often laden with sugar and cholesterol. This makes it harder for the modern man to fight-off the dreaded pot belly.</p>
<p>In spite of the information age, not a lot of people are aware of the fact that the technique in burning belly fat isn&#8217;t the use of ab exercise gizmos or fat burning ointments or pills. They still get duped into shelling-out their hard-earned money not knowing that taking-on a workout that burns the most body fat in less time will do it.<span id="more-88"></span></p>
<p>There is no single machine, supplement or exercise that would be a good belly fat burner. A combination of three things are needed- aerobic exercise that burns the most calories from body fat, weight training to build muscle and increase metabolism, and a healthy diet and eating habits.</p>
<p>Most people are aware that the unspent energy from the food we eat is converted to fat. Our bodies have a natural tendency to store this around our belly before anywhere else. A workout regimen that includes exercises that target body fat and not glycogen then is the best for eliminating belly fat and showing-off that ripped abdomen. An aerobic, total body exercise has been proven to be the most effective in doing this.</p>
<p>Switching to different types of exercises every now and then will also keep your muscles challenged, meaning more work and thus, more fat melted off. We use up less calories when our muscles have adapted to a specific exercise.</p>

<p>Your digestive system efficiency changes when your metabolic rate slows.</p>
<p>There is one constant and this constant is forever present and that is that if you eat too much food and drink too much alcohol coupled with a sedentary lifestyle, you will gain weight. Also, the shape you&#8217;re in can be affected by the hormonal changes in your body. <span id="more-59"></span></p>
<p>Being overweight and using your age as an excuse is unacceptable. Particularly when you consider the large number of elderly people who remain slim, fit and healthy &#8211; it should become crystal clear that age is not a reasonable excuse.</p>
<p>We abuse our bodies with the poor lifestyle choices we make. As we age, the poor lifestyle choices multiply and the end results are; overweight and other related health problem brought on by poor nutrition.</p>
<p>Maintaining your fat percentage at an optimum level throughout your life is what you should do. The dividends it pays are; A better quality of life, reduced dependence on medication, avoiding other health related expenditures as you age</p>
<p>Anyone at any age can benefit from improved nutrition and exercise.</p>
<p>A longer and happier life can be expected by using anything that will reduce the excess levels in your body fat.</p>
<p>You can turn back your body clock by beginning an exercise program coupled with an improvement in your nutritional intake. The most important part is getting started and the sooner you start the better.</p>

You should be eating good healthy food that doesn&#8217;t leave you feeling starved although initially you might feel that way as you change from the bulk poor quality food that you&#8217;ve been eating to smaller portions of better quality food.</p>
<p>Drinking more water is a great way to help your body during this transition. Although exercise is one of the best ways of losing weight, many people are reluctant to exercise. There are types of exercises that can cater to practically anyone even the obese people that find exercise difficult. <span id="more-77"></span></p>
<p>I recommend swimming, biking and walking to improve your overall fitness and reduce your body weight.  These exercises can speed up your metabolism and burn fat.  The obese who find walking difficult should swim; swimming burns fat and will increase your metabolism.</p>

The question is not, &#8220;how can I maintain a healthy lifestyle&#8221;, rather it is how can I do what I want to do and then find a colon cleansing product to purify me from the poison I put into my body.  Colon cleansers can be a great tool however they should not be thought of as a quick fix to help you loose those last few pounds.</p>
<p>Some researchers estimate that most of us have anywhere from 3 to 15 pounds of undigested fecal matter in our colons. This toxic matter can slow down your metabolism; make you more susceptible for allergies; give you constipation, gas, indigestion, and acid reflux; and make it difficult for your body to absorb nutrients. If you are dealing with some of these symptoms then it could be time for you to detoxify your body. The best natural cleansing is to use all natural herbal products that are designed and formulated to cleanse the colon, detoxify the liver, and restore normal bowel function. Most people feel a renewal of energy after detoxification. Cleansing gone wrong would result in feeling washed-out and weakened.<span id="more-17"></span></p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Mini trampoline exercises are a great way to lose weight and keep you fit. But along with the exercises you should maintain a healthy diet as well.  These exercises should be performed three to four days a week to achieve the best result.</p>
<p>Warming up before exercise and cooling down after the exercise are important in order to prevent unwanted injuries.  Warm-up ensures that your muscles are warm enough and ready for workout.  Cool down exercises ensure that muscles wind down after hard work.  Both warm up and cool down exercises should be done.<span id="more-47"></span></p>
<p>Trampoline contact bounce is a good warm up and cool down exercise. To do contact bounce, keep your feet shoulder-width apart with slightly bent knees and put your hands on your waistline.  Bounce gently without your feet leaving the mat.</p>
<p>Foot tap is another good warm up exercise for the trampoline.  Keep your body in the same position as for the contact bounce and shift your weight slowly to one leg.  Tap your other foot to the side and keep bouncing steadily.</p>
<p>Lower body stretch is the best exercise to start.  With your feet shoulder-width apart and your hands behind your back, start to lower your torso as if trying to touch your toes.  Hold for thirty seconds and repeat ten times.</p>
<p>Floor Stretch is another very effective exercise. While sitting on the floor, keep your legs stretched apart and bend your upper torso by pulling yourself toward one thigh. Hold the stretch for thirty seconds and then repeat it on the other side.</p>
<p>For people who want to exercise to lose weight knee raise is the perfect work out. While bouncing, begin to raise one knee just above your waistline. Repeat this movement ten times on each knee and then resume back into a steady contact bounce.</p>
<p>After exercising, it is very important to cool down. Cool down helps you prevent unwanted injuries.  If you use this trampoline exercise program three to four times and keep healthy eating habits, you should start to see weight loss results in six to eight weeks.</p>
